Here are the Rules of the Championship 2012
Theme of the season:
All tournaments of the 2012 championship will be based on the Army List on the TB Line official web site about the historical period of the XIII a.d. and Punic War.
Armies allowed will be those offered by TB Line, and those made by individual players. The armies offered by the organization may be used “as is” or customized by adding their units. All armies should be set on the basis of 80AP and designed by the method described in the Army Lists, published online by TB Line (http://www.tridentebologna.it/armylist_UK.php). Players can vary the army before every game but can not change the army sheet.
The battlefields for each tournament will be made by the organization. The exact composition of the tables will be revealed only at the beginning of the tournament.
Number of tournaments:
In 2012 there will be played a minimum of 3 qualifying tournaments, with a maximum of 5. These tournaments will befollowed by a final tournament where the finalists will play.
Who can participate and how:
Access to the tournaments will be free. Anyone will be able to participate in the qualifying tournaments, excluding the exceptions listed below. Participation in the tournament must be sent to the organization via e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org. Participating members of the tournements can choose their armies among those still available from those provided by the organization.
In case of the withdrawal of a participant, the replacement will be determined by priority of registration and the presence at the start of the tournament.
The final will be played between the top finishers in all tournaments. The organization will communicate to the highest qualifiers and they must formally accept the invitation within one week of notification. Otherwise the spot will be offered to the qualifier with the next highest ranking.
Access to the finals will also be provided with a delegation of finalists from other nations.
Persons excluded from the tournament:
The following can not participate in tournaments:
- Anyone has an unsportsmanlike attitude toward a competitor, the organization or structure that houses the tournament. The proceedings will be decided by the arbitrator and will be final.
- Anyone who, does not disclouse his intention to withdraw from the competition and in darg, prevents free access to other players or reduces the number of participants in the tournament to under 8 people.
The top three finishers will be awarded trophies and any additional prize. It will also provide a “technical” premium. The prize is awarded to the best technically classified in one turn selected by a random draw. The top three classified will not receive the technical awards.
In a tournament, each player will play 3 games.
Each round will last one hour from the end of the placement. After one hour, a last turn will be made and then the game will end. Players will communicate the results to the organization.
The ranking of the tournament that will decide the winners, will be calculated by adding the points scored in each game.
The ranking of the champions to decide the placement in to the final, will be made based on personal best score achieved (the sum of the three games) in the individual tournaments.
Tournament matches will be made according to the following methodology. The matching for the first game will be on a random. For the others it will be made by combining the players with scores coming second in the provisional results obtained descending. Wherever possible, we will try to avoid pairings between players who have already played and between players of the same club. The player with the lowest score (in case of a tie, the choice will be made random) will choose the playing field, while the other player will be responsible for choosing the side on which to deploy.
