Italics Preview
Few time ago we showed a preview of the Army List for Falangiti Armies. The Army List should be used for those armies organized on Phalanx system, derived from Hellenistic Greece, and who were employed during the Punic Wars.
Obviously with Army List will be necessary the miniatures to used it. There are commercial products already available, but we could also avoid making something of our own? Of course not, so here you can preview the first images of the General of a Italic army. The Italians took turns at times in alliance with the Romans, and sometimes with the Carthaginians, then an army good for all occasions.
Good vision

I had a question about the hexagon battlefield. Where can I get the foam hexagons in the USA that you used to construct your terrain? Also, how large are they?
Thank you for your help

We sell only via Internet. Our hexagon you can buy only in our web site:
http://www.tridentebologna.it/esagoni_E.php
They are regular hexagons with sides parallel 12cm apart and with a thickness of 1 or 2cm. The material is polystyrene “classic” (just to understand the one made of balls) with a density greater to which is available commercially, namely the “ball” is much smaller.
Hope that help
Bob,
You can get comercial hex in the USA from GHQ. I make my own from foam insulation board to keep my costs down. I be glad to share my plans for a jig to make hexes in any size you want. I do use GHQ from time to time. Mainly their 1/2″ hexes.
Once you use hexes you will never want to go back to another system.
Regards,
I never seen personally the hexagons of the GHQ, but someone told me that they are good. The difference between ours and theirs is the size. Those of GHQ have the parallel sides 10cm away, while our 12cm. If you don’t want play to Anticamente the difference is not enormous.
Beautiful figure and terrain along with some great rules!
Thank you very much
Do you try to play to Anticamente?
The GHQ hexes are excellent. The foam density is heavier than normal foam. We have several thousand hexes for our game table. We are learning the rules and will practice with them this weekend on the game table. The hex size (4″) will work out fine for our games. Plenty of room for 6 Mounted units or 12 Foot units.
I’m really anxious to know how it will test.
If you can make some pictures and send me, please
